St. Andrew School

Religion

The Religion curriculum is developed using the Diocesan Curriculum guide, the textbooks for each grade, the liturgical calendar, and relevant gospel lessons.  The students will learn through the incorporation of daily prayer, discussion, small group activities, role playing, Bible reading, and studying the lives of saints.  Students study and discuss parts of the Mass, celebrate a weekly school Mass, and interact with the pastor during the Gospel homily. The religion curriculum seeks to instill Christian values into the school setting.

Your students will enjoy learning religion beginning in the primary grades, and continuing through their entire academic career at St. Andrew.  Your students will learn about the Catholic faith, the life of Jesus, His teachings, His works, and how they can spread Christian values in their everyday lives.  We look forward to assisting your student achieve his or her highest level of understanding in religion.
